# Five steps to 50,000 UEC

How a new player applies referral code `STAR-XCTW-2GM7` during Roberts Space
Industries account creation.

1. **Copy the referral code.** Copy `STAR-XCTW-2GM7` from this page.
2. **Open the RSI enlistment page.** Go to
   https://robertsspaceindustries.com/enlist?referral=STAR-XCTW-2GM7 to create
   a new Star Citizen account. This link pre-fills the code for you.
3. **Enter the referral code.** Paste `STAR-XCTW-2GM7` into the Referral Code
   field during enlistment if it isn't already filled in.
4. **Receive the 50,000 UEC bonus.** The bonus is added to the new account
   immediately at creation.
5. **Obtain a Game Package.** Get a Game Package on the RSI Pledge Store to
   start playing. A package of $40 USD or more credits the referrer with a
   Recruitment Point.

## Forgot the code at signup?

RSI gives every new account a **24-hour grace period**: add a referral code
retroactively in
[account settings](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/account/referral-program).
After 24 hours, a code can no longer be added to that account.
